PROCEDURE FOR MY BACKGROUND CHECK

All volunteers 18 years and older must complete a background check in order to volunteer with the American Red Cross.

1. Go to www.mybackgroundcheck.com
2. Click on American Red Cross logo box "Background Check Initiative"
3. Click on Black Box "Request a Background Check"
4. Click on Black Box on right side of US Map "National Headquarters"
5. Click on "SAF Volunteers"
6. Click on "Click here to get started"
7. Click on "I am a candidate to volunteer" and Click "Continue"
8. On Disclosure Statement, Click on "Agree or Disagree", after both boxes are checked "I Accept will be highlighted
9. Start inputting requested data (country is US, state and is APO AP)
